The title of this post contains just a few of the many terms which have been floating through emails between my co-founder, Clark, and I while we hammer out exactly what we're building at Other People's News. I love this phase of a new venture because we get to take all of the ideas which have been bouncing around the noosphere, spin them into a coherent (though fleeting) survey of the world, and then write up marching orders to make a precious few of these ideas into reality.
The pain of cutting off the majority of the possible paths is salved by the joy of framing out something new and exciting.
I've had a few questions from my twitter followers about what stage the venture is in. Right now Clark (aka @clarkf) and I (@TrevorFSmith) are paring down our ideas into a prototype and a rough business plan. Then we'll start showing both around, iterating, and feeling out whether Other People's News should remain a side project or turn into something bigger.
